SEND Coffee Evening

It can be hard being the parent of a child with additional needs. There's a lot to manage, a lot of forms, a lot of behaviours to understand, a lot of worry, sometimes... it just feels a lot. It can help to have others around you who are going through similar, to know you are not on your own, to know that there is help and support out there. Each month we'll be getting together and meeting up for coffee, for a chat, and we'll be bringing in guest speakers to support you in supporting your child too. There'll be plenty of opportunity to share knowledge, to share stories and to hopefully, have a laugh too! It would be so lovely to have you with us! 

This months focus will be on YOU! We have Lucy Murphy joining us from LJM Therapies who is a holistic therapies and massage prsctitioner who uses her skills to support mental and physical health through body based treatments. Her research shows the value of massage in treating stress, anxiety and a range of other needs and she is passionate about making these services accessible to all who need them. Lucy will be providing you with the tools and techniques needed to effectively massage your children to relive stress and anxiety, as well as providing some simple massages on the evening too. There'll be aromatherapy oils, hand massage and a range of other things too focussed on wellbeing. We'll also be talking about summer, back to school and having our usual troubleshooting sessions too!
