About the event

Please arrive 5 - 10 minutes before the session to get changed.

This is a mixed gender and ability session.

Why join this session?

Wellbeing swimming sessions for children and young people can have numerous positive effects on mental health and overall wellbeing. Here are several ways in which swimming can contribute to their mental health:

  1. Physical Exercise and Mental Health:Swimming is a full-body workout that promotes physical health. Regular physical activity is linked to improved mood and reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression. The release of endorphins during exercise contributes to a sense of well-being.

  2. Stress Reduction:Being in the water can have a calming effect, helping to reduce stress and anxiety. The rhythmic and repetitive nature of swimming can create a meditative experience, promoting mental relaxation.
