ThisIsMyTherapy: A New Conversation Around Mental Health
Therapy doesn’t end when the session does. It continues in the everyday moments. It’s in how we pause, how we breathe, and how we choose to care for ourselves and others. That’s why we’re proud to launch #ThisIsMyTherapy - a new campaign that aims to bring visibility, warmth, and honesty to the way we talk and act to support our mental wellbeing.
Why This Campaign Matters
Mental health support is not one-size-fits-all. Some people find therapy in traditional counselling sessions. Others find it in journaling, movement, connection, nature, music, or even a moment of stillness. #ThisIsMyTherapy was created to spotlight those personal practices. These are the small, meaningful things that help people feel safe, seen, and supported outside of formal therapy.
We need to learn the importance of finding ways outside of traditional therapy to carry on the practices we learn. This understanding is crucial for parents as they navigate their children's mental health journeys.
This campaign recognises a real truth: 👉 The hardest part of therapy often begins after the appointment ends. Applying what we learn, day by day, is where growth truly happens.
What Does ‘Therapy’ Look Like to You?
We’re inviting our community—parents, students, educators, therapists, creatives, and everyone in between—to answer one simple but powerful question:
What does your therapy look like?
It could be:
A quiet morning walk
A deep conversation with a friend
Painting, reading, swimming, or gardening
Taking a break when things feel heavy
Writing down your thoughts
Saying “no” when you need rest
Laughing until your belly hurts
Enjoying a sport
If it supports your mental wellbeing, it counts.
How to Get Involved
We’ll be rolling out a series of resources, activities, and prompts across schools, social media, and our wider community. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Instagram's “Add Yours” templates
Sharing our BNB team's weekly therapy moments with you
Home reflection sheets for families
Printable classroom resources
Stories from people just like you, sharing their ‘therapy’
We invite you to share your version of therapy with the hashtag #ThisIsMyTherapy—your image, your moment, your voice. Help others see that healing looks different for everyone. Please use the hashtag and get the conversation started.
The Goal
We want to:
Normalise talking about mental health in all forms
Break the idea that therapy has to “look” a certain way
Empower children, teens, and adults to build sustainable, everyday wellbeing practices
Remind everyone that support is available and it’s okay to ask for help
This campaign is not just about awareness. It’s an invitation to reflect, connect, and carry therapy into the spaces we live, work, learn, and grow.
Your Therapy Matters
Your therapy might not be on a couch. It might be in a journal, a forest, a song, or a moment of peace before the day begins. Whatever it looks like, it’s valid. It matters. And we want to see it.

Embracing Our Unique Journeys
As we navigate our individual paths, it's essential to remember that everyone's journey is unique. We all have different experiences and ways of coping. Embracing this diversity can help us create a more supportive environment for one another.
Building a Community of Support
Creating a community where we can share our experiences openly is vital. When we come together, we can learn from each other and grow. Let’s build a space where everyone feels comfortable discussing their mental health.
The Importance of Self-Care
Self-care is not just a buzzword; it's a necessity. Taking time for ourselves allows us to recharge and better support those around us. Whether it's a few quiet moments with a book or a fun outing with friends, self-care is essential for our wellbeing.
Encouraging Open Conversations
Let’s encourage open conversations about mental health. By sharing our stories, we can help break the stigma surrounding mental health issues. Together, we can create a culture where everyone feels safe to express their feelings and seek help when needed.
Conclusion: Together, We Thrive
In conclusion, let’s remember that we’re all in this together. By supporting one another and sharing our experiences, we can foster a community that prioritises mental health and wellbeing. So, let’s get involved, share our stories, and inspire each other on this journey.
